Band Concert

Everyone that got to play in the band concert did a great job. I really admire those of you that can play musical instruments and sing in tune...God has blessed you well.

Intersection...Sunday, December 2 at 5:45 PM

We're coming up on our first Intersection. We will get together for some non-threatening time together to worship and be encouraged as the semester winds down. Kyle Wade from Amarillo is coming in to speak. He'll be here Saturday, teach Sunday morning, hang out Sunday afternoon and bring the message Sunday night. Wayne is cooking some fajitas, some of you signed up in August to help out with this and you can get in touch with Wayne to find out how you can help. Other than that make sure you're here and your kids this Sunday, December 2 at 5:45 PM. We are expecting 200-250 kids from Abilene, San Angelo and other surrounding areas. Invite anyone you like and let them be a part of God's blessing this Sunday night.

The Feed

The first version of THE FEED begins tonight. Show up at about 6:00 PM for some good food and hanging out before class. Bring your hungry friends if you like. Bring your own unhealthy food if you like, I don't care, just show up.

HS Mission Trip

Sign ups are now! Get your info to me as soon as possible. Deadline to sign up for the HS Mission Trip is: Sunday June 10. The cost is 125$. We'll be leaving Sunday, June 17 and be back in Sweetwater, Saturday, June 23.

Everyone needs to play some volleyball...you can come even if you don't want to play...just come, play 4 square, hang out, eat something, whatever.

ELEMENTS EXTRAVAGANZA...Stupid name, fun stuff. We’re going to have a little competition among our Elements Sunday night, May 20. Which group can handle it?

Our interns will be arriving in town in a few weeks to begin the wonderful task of hanging out with and mentoring our teens this summer. Please be ready to welcome them and let them know how much you appreciate their desire to serve God and our church. Brandon Simpson (LCU) will be staying with the Basye’s and Ashley Holcomb (LCU) wil l be staying with...the Holcomb’s.

Diaper Drive to Lubbock Saturday

We're heading out Saturday at 9:42 AM. Bring $10.50 for tickets to Science Spectrum and $10 for a meal Saturday night. We plan on being back in Sweetwater around 9:30 PM

Crossover News...Attention Parents!

If your teenager is planning on coming to the retreat this weekend we need their information as soon as possible. Also, if you have a teen that is signed up or is planning on coming please give Blair a call before Wednesday night. You can call the church office or Blair’s cell phone.

Diaper Drive...we will be collecting diapers, size 6, for the Lubbock Children’s home. Our goal is one year’s worth or more. We will head to Lubbock to deliver the diapers Saturday April 28.

Summer Camps...be looking for information about summer camps. I will be gathering information and getting that info to the Welcome Center.

Saturday Night Live...this Saturday. We'll be calling you through the phone tree. (Make sure, if the person(s) you are supposed to call isn't there, to call the next person on the list so the tree doesn't die...don't let the tree die.) Meet at the Cupp's (Tanner and Paxton's Grandparents) at 6 PM Saturday night. Bring your friends and just get away from home for a while.

Hey People...

We've made it back from the MS retreat. What a blessing it is to spend time with those kids that love God and love each other. I remember every time I go on one of these trips how much I love watching God work in teenagers' lives. Thanks to Cameron and Susie for going with us as 'sponsors'. They were awesome taking care of and loving the middle school kids.
